When connected to an LED light bulb or LED tube light fixture, a PIR sensor detects a certain range of radiated heat or what is called infrared radiation. When the sensor detects a change in radiation within its tolerance levels, it will turn on the light. After motion stops, the light will turn itself off within a certain, set time period. The use of machine learning to identify and classify offensive and defensive strategies in team sports through spatio-temporal tracking data has received significant interest recently in the literature and the global sport industry.
This paper focuses on data-driven defensive strategy learning in basketball. Furthermore, most sports analytical systems that provide play-by-play data is heavily biased towards offensive metrics such as passes, dribbles, and shots. The aim of the current study was to use machine learning to classify the different defensive strategies basketball players adopt when deviating from their initial defensive action.
An analytical model was developed to recognise the one-on-one relationships of the players, which is utilised to automatically identify any change of defensive strategy. A classification model is developed based on a player and ball tracking dataset from National Basketball Association game play to classify the adopted defensive strategy against pick-and-roll play. The methodology described is the first to analyse the defensive strategy of all in-game players (both on-ball players and off-ball players).
The cross-validation results indicate that the proposed technique for automatic defensive strategy identification can achieve up to 69% accuracy of classification. Many modern applications require extracting the core attributes of human behavior such as a person's attention, intent, or skill level from the visual data. There are two main challenges related to this problem.
First, we need models that can represent visual data in terms of object-level cues. Second, we need models that can infer the core behavioral attributes from the visual data. We refer to these two challenges as ``learning to see'', and ``seeing to learn'' respectively.
In this PhD thesis, we have made progress towards addressing both challenges. We tackle the problem of ``learning to see'' by developing methods that extract object-level information directly from raw visual data. This includes, two top-down contour detectors, DeepEdge and HfL, which can be used to aid high-level vision tasks such as object detection.
Furthermore, we also present two semantic object segmentation methods, Boundary Neural Fields , and Convolutional Random Walk Networks , which integrate low-level affinity cues into an object segmentation process. We then shift our focus to video-level understanding, and present a Spatiotemporal Sampling Network , which can be used for video object detection, and discriminative motion feature learning. Afterwards, we transition into the second subproblem of ``seeing to learn'', for which we leverage first-person GoPro cameras that record what people see during a particular activity.
We aim to infer the core behavior attributes such as a person's attention, intention, and his skill level from such first-person data. To do so, we first propose a concept of action-objects--the objects that capture person's conscious visual or tactile interactions. We then introduce two models, EgoNet and Visual-Spatial Network , which detect action-objects in supervised and unsupervised settings respectively. Afterwards, we focus on a behavior understanding task in a complex basketball activity.
We present a method for evaluating players' skill level from their first-person basketball videos, and also a model that predicts a player's future motion trajectory from a single first-person image. Dusk to Dawn LED lights include technology in the light bulb or light fixture to automatically turn on/off the light. With a Dusk to Dawn photocell sensor, light levels are detected.
Current state-of-the-art sports metrics such as "Wins-above-Replacement" in baseball, "Expected Point Value" in basketball, and "Expected Goal Value" in soccer and hockey are now commonplace in performance analysis. These measures have enhanced our ability to compare and value performance in sport. But they are inherently limited because they are tied to a discrete outcome of a specific event. With the widespread availability of player and ball tracking data comes the potential to quantitatively analyze and compare fine-grain movement patterns. An excellent example of this was the "ghosting" system developed by the Toronto Raptors to analyze player decision-making in STATS SportVU tracking data. Specifically, the Raptors created software to predict what a defensive player should have done instead of what they actually did.
Our ghosting method, which avoids substantial manual human annotation, results in a data-driven system that allows us to answer the question "how should this player or team have played in a given game situation compare to the league average? In addition, by "fine-tuning" our league average model to the tracking data from a particular team, our ghosting technique can estimate how each team might have approached the situation. Our method enables counterfactual analysis of effectiveness of defensive positioning as both a measurable and viewable quantity for the first time.
The light bulb can face up or down in modern wall sconces. Sconce styles can imitate older forms that held candles, oil lamps or torches in them. The more modern sconce styles include both up and down lighting in the same fixture.
Sunco retrofit LED downlights connect to the inside of the can with clips or springs and usually include either an E26 adapter or a TP24 connector to power the LED. The housing of the light fixture is secured inside the recessed can. The trim and lens of the retrofit LED downlight is visible, but not the power cords and spring clips so it provides a streamlined look in your ceiling.
The base style of a light bulb with a twist and lock mechanism of two pins. Only LEDs, CFLs, and CCFLs are manufactured with GU24 bases. GU42 sockets will not accept incandescent bulbs so any light fixture with this socket is more energy efficient. The term "daylight" does not refer to whether a light bulb can be used outside or if a light bulb or fixture is wet rated. Sunco's Daylight bulbs are 5000K color temperature, which is the closest color temperature to mimic natural sunlight (5000K-5600K). With integrated lighting, the LED light bulb or linear tube is included as part of the light fixture.
Integrated LED fixtures do not need to be relamped during their lifespan. Sunco's Shoebox light includes an IP65 Rating so it is suitable for exterior use. A wet rating refers to locations where a wet rated outdoor lighting fixture might encounter dripping water, rain, or other liquid that could flow or splash on or against your LED light fixture.
When a light encounters rain or snow, you want wet rated LED fixtures. This includes the type of saturation found in yards, patios, walkways, parking lots, gas stations, sports courts, football fields, and or outdoor or exterior places where rain and other liquids will have direct contact with the product. Our Wall Sconce family accepts both LED and traditional light bulbs . Note that any wall sconce with Dusk to Dawn functionality cannot accept a bulb that is Dusk to Dawn, since the fixture itself includes a dusk to dawn sensor and they would not function together.
PairPlay is a clever new app from Jonathan Wegener, previously co-founder of Timehop and product designer at Snap, which turns a pair of AirPods into a two-person adventure game. You and one other player will split the pair, with one person taking the left AirPod and the other taking the right, to start the audio challenge. The players will hear different sides of the audio adventure story at the same time, which they can then play out together. Storylines may have you playing as secret agents, ghost hunters, robots and more.
The game is family-friendly and can be played with kids as young as 7, though arguably some adults will have fun with this one, too. The rapid progress in artificial intelligence and machine learning has opened unprecedented analytics possibilities in various team and individual sports, including baseball, basketball, and tennis. The research challenges associated with predictive and prescriptive football analytics require new developments and progress at the intersection of statistical learning, game theory, and computer vision. We illustrate that this duality makes football analytics a game changer of tremendous value, in terms of not only changing the game of football itself, but also in terms of what this domain can mean for the field of AI.
We conclude by highlighting envisioned downstream impacts, including possibilities for extensions to other sports . Soccer is undeniably the most popular sport world-wide and everyone from general managers and coaching staff to fans and media are interested in evaluating players' performance. Metrics applied successfully in other sports, such as the +/− that allows for division of credit among a basketball team's players, exhibit several challenges when applied to soccer due to severe co-linearities. Recently, a number of player evaluation metrics have been developed utilizing optical tracking data, but they are based on proprietary data. In this work, our objective is to develop an open framework that can estimate the expected contribution of a soccer player to his team's winning chances using publicly available data.
We consequently translate the model to expected league points added above a replacement player . This model can further be used as a guide for allocating a team's salary budget to players based on their expected contributions on the pitch. We showcase similar applications using annual salary data from the English Premier League and identify evidence that in our dataset the market appears to under-value defensive line players relative to goalkeepers. Solar-powered light fixtures use a solar panel to gather in energy and generate direct current electricity.
They can store power in a battery for use later, such as with solar lights that illuminate a yard at night and function like dusk to dawn lights. The portion of a light fixture that provides power and support to a light bulb. A light bulb or light fixture that produces a wide pool of light or wide beam angle is called a flood or floodlight.
Ceiling recessed lights that feature a low or small profile. The trim and the housing make up the major two components of this type of light. Sunco LED downlights also include clips to secure the fixture in place, along with a power input in the form of an E26 adapter and/or a TP24 connector.
Damp rated light bulbs are intended for indoors or protected areas. They are intended for damp areas where water might condense, but not flow over the light fixture or bulb. An example might be a downlight or recessed can housing in a kitchen or bathroom.
Select Sunco light fixtures are linked in a single circuit through plug and play capabilities, like most of our shop lights, wraparounds, and recessed lights. Sunco Remodel Cans are designed for new office buildings for commercial lighting or residential home construction projects where you need to install a recessed light fixture inside an existing or finished ceiling. Our Remodel Cans secure via included mounting clips to your ceiling. Please refer to the install manual for complete details. Most household and office light fixtures use a standard E26 socket.
The Sunco Lighting BR30 LED Grow Light Bulb's E26 base will fit most light fixtures. However, please confirm the wattage accepted in your light fixture or recessed ceiling can. Color temperatures allow lighting manufacturers to describe the quality of light a light bulb or light fixture will produce. You will see them written out on a scale from 2000K to 7000K for residential or commercial lighting applications.
Despite the term referring to sunlight and the outdoors, when a bulb is defined with the word "Daylight" it is not referring to whether you can use that bulb in your exterior lighting or exposure to the elements. Daylight also does not mean an LED light bulb is wet rated. Daylight in regards to LED lighting refers to color temperature. While the Lighting Facts Label calls out power usage and lifetime hours based on a 3 hour day, we recognize that you will likely use your light bulb more frequently. When you compare even 25,000 lifetime hours on an A19 LED Bulb vs. a 1,500 hour average life span of an A19 incandescent bulb that is a huge savings for you.
Sunco PAR series light bulbs were designed for open fixtures, such as dual spotlights under a roof eave or landscape uplights or signage. PAR bulbs should not be used in enclosed light fixtures . The bulb could potentially overheat or impact/reduce the lifetime of the light bulb.
Check the sensor – The photocell sensor needs to be exposed or open to detect light. This means your light fixture should not block the sensor, which sits just above the base of the light bulb. Mixed bulb types - Avoid mixing traditional and LED style bulbs in the same light fixture. Traditional bulbs such as incandescent, halogen, or CFLs use more power than LEDs and this can sometimes cause a varying current so that the LED won't function properly. For smart bulbs - If you are using a dimmer with a smart bulb and are experiencing buzzing or flickering, please plug that light fixture into a circuit without a dimmer. You can control the dimming via your smart phone or tablet with and app over WiFi.
Unreleased music always poises a conundrum for record labels. Especially in the case of hip hop artists who pass away. In the late Pop Smoke's case, the posthumous material was immediate. His debut album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, was released five months after his second mixtape, Meet the Woo 2.
Under the curation of 50 Cent, Shoot for the Stars ended up a superb farewell project, expanding the drill realm to affirmed R&B crossovers and granting multiple chart hits. Faith arrives twelve months after Shoot for the Stars, with vastly different results. With Moller working from the UK and Tarryn in Cape Town, Moller placed an ad in SongLink to find the songs. Since then the girls' have put together their first single, 'Be Mine Tonight' in record time with the help of top international song writers and producers such as Jack D Elliot - who has worked with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
